Lord Jonathan Sacks

"Is There a Role for Faith in Modern Britain?"
Lord Sacks is the Chief Rabbi for the UK and Commonwealth. As leader of the mainstream Orthodox Jewish community in the UK, he appears widely on television and radio, has written many books and articles, and advises the government on religious issues. Originally educated at Gonville & Caius College, Lord Sacks became a Philosophy and Theology professor before going on to be Principal of Jews' College London and Rabbi of the Golders Green and Marble Arch Synagogues. He has warned that materialism and the breakdown of family and community values caused by secularism are responsible for Europe's declining population.
