The Chancellors' Hustings

With the retirement of Prince Philip, for the first time in over 160 years the post of Chancellor of the University is being contested in a competitive election. Voting will take place on the 14th and 15th of October and in the run up to the election, the Union is giving all members of the University the chance to meet the candidates and challenge them on the issues that are important to them.

The events will take the form of a short speech followed by a Q&A session:

  • Brian Blessed - Monday 10th of October, 7.30pm
  • Michael Mansfield QC - Tuesday 11th of October, 7.30pm
  • Lord Sainsbury - Wednesday 12th October, 7.30pm
  • Abdul Arain - Date and Time TBC

The event is open to all members of the University, however if any of the events are over subscribed priority will be given to members of the Union Society.
