The Standing Committee is delighted to invite members of our alumni community to celebrate the Cambridge Union’s 210th anniversary on Saturday October 25th 2025 with an Alumni Dinner & Debate.

Tickets for the fundraising dinner and debate include a drinks reception with live musical entertainment and three course dinner followed by the debate in the chamber.

The motion before the house for the evening is: “This House Prefers Style Over Substance”. Whilst a full announcement of the speaker line-up is yet to come, we are delighted to reveal our first two speakers of the night: Sir Peter Bazalgette and Lord Howard.

Should you wish to attend the debate but not the dinner, you can reserve a free ticket. There is the option to make a donation on both ticket types, and members may bring one guest if they wish.
