A truly unique venue

Set in the heart of the historic city of Cambridge, the Cambridge Union is a beautifully memorable venue..
The unique building boasts original Victorian Gothic architecture designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1866, a large central garden, the historic Debating Chamber with original features and an elegant interior throughout.

Centrally based, we offer flexible facilities throughout for ceremonies, breakfasts and receptions so you can ensure you can create a unique and special day. Intimate or extravagant, traditional or unexpected, we take pride in offering you our undivided attention. Professional advice and recommendations are offered at every stage by our experienced wedding team.

Happy ever afters

The staff were so kind and went out of their way to make our day special. The room is beautiful, light and spacious; it functions well as a dining and party space. Thanks to everyone at the Union for giving us a day we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.

Happy ever afters

The lovely staff at the Union could not have been more kind, supportive and helpful. Particularly in the days just before the wedding, and on the day itself, it was a massive relief to feel confident that everything was going to be well taken care of and to be prompted to consider some things we hadn’t even thought of – it turns out that being whisked away for a moment to yourselves just after the ceremony provides a much needed opportunity to compose yourselves before facing the confetti!

Happy ever afters

From our initial enquiry to our ceremony, Joe, Katherine and the team made everything easy and fun for us. They knew exactly how to make our day run smoothly and we felt like we were in safe and experienced hands. All of our guests are still talking about how lovely our venue was.!
