Paterson Joseph is an actor and writer. He has performed extensively on the British stage in theatres large and small. From the Bush Theatre when it was just a wee pub venue, to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford and the National Theatre in London via his favourite theatre The Royal Exchange in Manchester.

His stage credits include The Royal Hunt of the Sun, The Emperor Jones, Blues For Mr Charlie, Les Blancs, Elmina’s Kitchen and Saint Joan. He has more recently been seen on television in BBC TV’s Boat Story, Vigil and Noughts and Crosses; the AMC+ /Prime western That Dirty Black Bag and notoriously Channel 4’s Peep Show. His American adventures include Timeless and The Leftovers.

His film credits include In The Name Of The Father, Aeon Flux, The Beach and most recently he played Arthur Slugworth in Wonka.
